Here is our Formula Drift competition vehicle, a very uniquely designed and built Nissan 240sx (S14). One thing Get Nuts Laboratory is known for is building some of the most stylish and exciting cars around the world. So when it came down to building one for Formula Drift, we were more than eager to get started! Studying the rulebook to comply with current FD standards is no easy task, with new rules being implemented every year its hard to keep track of what is or isn't legal. Our 2012 season S13 coupes ran with an S14 rear subframe which was a no go with the officials. So instead of breaking them apart in order to conform to the current rulebook, we decided it would be a better idea to start building from scratch. Thats when we switched our attention to an S14 that sat engineless at our shop.
A rear mounted dual electric fan radiator set up was used in this build to have as much room as possible for the 2JZGTE powerplant. The completed product is an S14 with a very agressive stance. A very good example of form and function working as one.
